The Strand, Loughbeg

An audience with some of The Strand guardians at Loughbeg, on the edge of the River Bann.
I know how good I am - I am outstanding in my field. Your approval isn't needed.

Loughbeg is part of the River Bann, situated near the village of Bellaghy, famous for being the hometown of poet Seamus Heaney. There is a beautiful boardwalk leading from a car park, right out to a beautiful wood right beside the river.

More often than not, visitors will be greeted by some bovine friends. I doubt if they were particularly interested in having their photo taken, but more likely to be driven by a sense of curiosity.

I thought the cows were kinda funny, especially the diva in the middle, so I took the shot. A bit of a background blur and some adjustments to the exposure were made in Lightroom, to ensure that 'Diva' got the attention they deserved.

Then I remembered something about a statement that was previously attributed to the actor Jack Nicholson. He may or may not have have actually said a version of what I added in the caption, but the idea stuck for me to use it here. It just seemed right.
