Glenariff Forest Park, Glens of Antrim

Glenariff Forest is another one of those photographic gems that, up until the last couple of years, I never took the time to enjoy. More often, I was either driving past in the car or cycling up the long and winding road - a beautiful journey in itself.
There is a lot to discover in Glenariff - from the panoramic views from the car park, to the water falls along a wide variety of walks on offer. Do come prepare with decent footwear and water! The main feature shot was taken about a 15 minute walk away from the cafe (closed in the Winter). I was lucky to get this shot as the sun was fading vast in the valley.
This was the first time I had tried a really slow shutter speed and ISO setting in an attempt to get that misty ribbon effect for the water. The camera was mounted on the tripod and since I didn't have a remote trigger, I used the self-timer on the camera instead. Only a small amount of exposure correction was needed in Lightroom. Pretty pleased for my first effort.
I will be back in Glenariff, so ... watch this space.
